The wife & husband team behind Lovely Occasions is Jeap & Phim “Gen” Phomsoupha, parents to 2 amazing kids and 1 fur baby. She’s the dreamer and planner while he’s the thinker and strategist. They are avid DIY’ers, all due to Jeap’s love of creating projects she sees on Pinterest and watching HGTV’s Fixer Upper (that Joanna Gaines is just amaze-balls, isn’t she?). After purchasing a home and deciding to quit her job to take care of their kids, along with Gen’s support, Jeap started a blog for fun to show all the updates and projects they were doing in their 100 y/o home (you can check out the blog here :)) Maybe she was dreaming of becoming an internet blogger sensation but that hasn’t happened yet, haha. Being resourceful, careful planners, constantly inspired and not afraid of getting their hands dirty is a big part of who they are.
They have helped many friends and family in the past set up their weddings and showers so “event planning” was nothing new to them, that is, until last year. A good friend of theirs approached Jeap to help organize their whole wedding. They lived out of town and also needed help setting up the venue to transform the space to what they had in mind but couldn’t put into words. That was when Jeap truly found her calling. Her passion to transform a blank canvas into an elegant affair, coupled with her resourcefulness to appeal to budget-conscious clients has simply been what she was made for. Once she comes up with the design ideas, it’s Gen’s turn to execute. Their attention to detail ensures that nothing will be missed and that your event will run smoothly and beautifully.
